Valentina.....

So, for a church group I go to, we were supposed to bring food for a pot luck. The theme was Mexican. Since I had a new dessert I wanted to try.....it looked REALLY easy, I decided to declare a Mexican dish....yes, you read that correctly. haha! I grabbed Valentina....an awesome friend and co-worker. I recorded a video of her saying how good the food was....therefore, it is Mexican food. She is awesome for doing it, and I hope the dish is a hit!

Show Choir Competition!

I had a GREAT time at the show choir competition at Millard West. BY FAR, the best performance was West Side......seriously, 15 minutes of completely different actions (no repeat dance moves!); they were honestly JUST LIKE Broadway. The tournament was an all day event. Here are some of the costumes and such!

I definitely give this event a thumbs up! I would like to to to other competitions.....perhaps districts....one thing is for sure, the desire for musicals definitely grew throughout these acts!

A group from Kansas came up....it was their first competition. The school was military, so they had MANY people that continued to come and go throughout the learning the dance moves, etc. I can honestly tell you, they WOWED the crowd SO many times over!

Millard West had a lot of black girls singing with soul! I loved being there because one of the gals REALLY had talent....I heard notes reached that I haven't heard for a LONG time!

What a great time....can't wait for next year! =D

Have you ever license plate slalked? haha! To get this place, I followed this car across the mall parking lot. I TRIED not to appear suspicious, and I waited for her to walk into Best Buy. Finally, after obvious hesitation (my spy skills need work!), the woman went in. I jumped out, grabbed a picture, and took off like a gangsta' fleeing the crime! HAHA! ...let's just say I'm bad to the bone. =)

Lincoln, Ne

Hanging out with friends it the BEST! ...ESPECIALLY when it is with people that are just as corny as you! This is hanging out at Old Chicago downtown...our waitress defintiely had to work for our tips. haha! ...And it is important to note that they have 50% off appitizers Tuesday nights until 6pm. Lots of ice is on the ground, so everybody is just waiting to see how bad the roads will actually become.

Life Happenings!

Boy, always so many good things to be thankful for! Here is a picture of James (Jimmy) Weir.....he is an awesome guy! SUCH energy, and he is a security officier at 78! This man is definitely someone I want to be....he is happy and keeps up with everybody else, if not more!

I sub very rarely, but when I do, I enjoy the professionalism and spirit at Sword of the Spirit Christian School. The Lord called me there my senior year. After that, when I thought I was done with school, God called me to three more years at the facility.....great learning times! I taught grades 3rd, 5th, and 6th. My students always worked very hard, and they were required to do tasks that many parents were just amazed at. I have thought about obtaining a college degree in education...we will see what the future holds. I am still close with many of the students and teachers.
