Chinese Night!

Chinese food night! The lady was SOO hard to understand over the phone, and I was worried I was going to get goose or something!! I kept saying seseme chicken, and I was worried; she THOUGHT I was saying ming poo poo! Good Lord! If this restaurant ever gets caught for using crazy animals, here is proof we ate there! =)

Happy Family delievers!! "O" "M" "G"..

Uprising at Trinity!

This is my youth group I help with on Wednesdays.....great group! Worship is intense, and the middle schoolers truly have a passion to serve God. Most of the kids go to Trinity Christian School in Omaha. I am AMAZED how obedient these kids are.....if anyone is talking when they shouldn't be, ALL anyone has to do is tell him to be quiet once.....AWESOME KIDS!

American Red Cross!

This was in the doughnut hut, so I tried to spend as much time as possible getting to know the ladies in here....afterwards, I had snacks......I pulled the "I'm weak" card a few times....finally after two snacks and two drinks, the lady said there was no possible way I could be weak....I told her she didn't know me. lol! Also, there was some crazy lady that went off because the Red Cross didn't recycle....she said something like we are all going to burn or something....I quite enjoyed it! I asked her if she powered her lights with a bike or anything....she said that was a negative. haha!
One time I didn't eat breakfast because I didn't want to raise the blood sugar or anything....RIGHT when a bunch of first-time donors came into the room, I began to black out....I tried to be calm (to not freighten the new people!), and I told my nurse what was up, but I was going too fast....when the nurse saw me, she told me to kick. Here is me on this bed kicking like a cheetah, flaying like crazy....I didn't pass out, but I definitely made sure I talked to everyone afterwards and made sure they realized this doesn't usually happen.....haha! Lesson LEARNED!
Besides giving, I also helped out with reception.....this is the AWESOME Red Cross receptionist! We talked about all of our travels, and when I mentioned Israel, she about jumped she was so excited....she had been there before also! =D Awesome, positive, and amazing woman! I could feel the presence of the Lord all over her!

Cricket Madness!

All Stars!

The Ashland All Star drug-free group was in Omaha for an outing at the Family Fun Center. I had so many great memories with the All Stars when I was in school (SO excited to say this...BACK IN 1999-2000). I am thrilled the program is still running and getting better than ever!

Fun Games at the Family Fun Center!

The Ashland-Greenwood bus....I spent so many years on those things!! haha!

The Middle Schoolers were just so pumped they got their tickets....very cool! One kid (the one shown making the "call me" sign) won 7,000 tickets. He definitely walked out with a new basketball!

Inside the bus...sport it, sport it!

I got many cheers from different camps I was involved with in the program. I hope to keep hanging out with them throughout the year and into the next!!

Sword of the Spirit Christian School!

I used to be a teacher for this Christian school, but I went to college to experience the college life (Rice and beans! haha!!). I still sub for many of the teachers when they need me. This is this year's preschool class!

Play time! ..HALLA!! =O

Anybody that doesn't think this is cute should rethink having children! haha!!

This is my amazing mom with her class.....she has been there for 6 years! I love my mom; she works hard though she is given very little! She is one of those that can be happy with a Bible, a worship CD, and a room for the rest of her life!! Love that!

Sword of the Spirit....Go team! =D

South Omaha Awesome Food!

After a long day at school, I decided to treat my mom.....with one requirement! I told her I would flip the bill and everything as long as she tried one thing of ANYTHING I would pick (and of course, it had to be kosher!). Surprisingly, she agreed! This is a picture of my mom eating cow brains ...or Salida...as they say in Espanol.....she didn't know what it was until after she tried it....let's just say, I'M STILL in the dog house!! haha!! =D

After she tried it, I ate the rest....this is it! I am trying to get into more cultural foods. I hope to have a Mexican face off sometime! ...whoever can eat the the most kosher hearts, brians, intestines, and tonuges win. haha...we will see!

College Kids! =D

My BEAUTIFUUUL sis, Meggers!
Doing Laundry with the sis in the early hours of the morning rock! =D The personalities of many of the people make it worth the trip....many of these people are scared of the daylight, people, or both....they make for the best people to talk to! =D

The inside of Children's!

Dave Crawford gave me the full tour.....he took me through every door I desired to go through, and I saw amazing things! Ohhhh, how cool it is to see the amount of energy required to heat, light, cool, pump air, and suck air in a hospital. Dave answered every question I had regarding purification systems and such....what a high! Here are pictures of my experience!Snowy Night!
From Pavillion, overlooking Dodge St.
Though smaller than most water heaters at home, the place uses only two of these babies to provide the hot water......EXTEMELY EFFICIENT!
This fan circulates the air from all over the hospital....huge and powerful! This air was sucked up from the rooms, and it is getting ready to be purified through ultraviolet light and filters....probably not the best place to hang out! haha!!
The highest point on the building....supposedly, on a clear day, one can see most of Omaha!

This pannel runs the trauma elevator....other ones that look like this also run the service and patient elevators.
I am the type of person that desires to press every button I see....this is why I should NOT be President.......Dave let me press all kinds of stuff. Luckily not this one because if I turned the CPU off, there is always the chance of the elevator crashing into the floor with a person in there...still, the desire to turn it is tempting! haha.

Engine room......I feel like Titantic in the boiler room....."All engines stop, Sir."

It was definitely a blast....I think I am going to ask to go up again sometime....perhaps to see a sunrise in the spring! =D

Fear Factor!! =O

Now, while I am a fan of the cafeteria workers, some of their items on the menus are questionable. Exhbit A: ham patties. I don't eat ham (that's my alibi!), but for people that do, have you ever heard of a ham patty? Tyson, my usual breakfast amigo and I usually head down after work......Tyson slams these patties like nobody's business....We tried to pull the whole "I don't eat pork thing" with Tyson, but he then askes the staff to cook him some bacon! LOL The food service staff have dared him many times to eat the raw food, but he refuses....haha, someday they hope he will do it! He tells them he will only if they are burned...haha! too funny. =D

Shabbat FUN!

Shabbat is always fun with these people! There are always new conversations to discuss, and to me, it seems like any topic can be approached. I enjoy the Biblical insight from many of the leaders. I have known these people for many years, and over time, friends become close family. We are doing life together! ...I am happy with it all.

The pretzels were bomb at church last week....Sara is obviously overwhelmed. lol

There are all sorts of things we do after church. Great family environment...lol. Jesus loves us all!

We sit around and discuss the Bible....good times! You would be surprised how many times the question of polygamy arises.....is it or is it not accurate in the Bible? (Truth is, it is NOT ok....God created only Adam and Eve....not Adam, Eve, and Eve....still it's fun to bring up and try to see people fight to prove the concept false.)

Awesome people! ...ain't no halla back, yo!

Messianic Window Washer

Now everyone says that someone is out there for everyone, but at times, I tend to find that hard to believe. Meet.....Messianic Window Washer. I was helping a friend get set up on underthehuppah.com (dating site!), and when she punched her personality into the computer, this pulled up as a match. My friend is a 32 year-old. I begged her to write him, but she refused.....how cool would it be if you dated someone that was old enough to be your parent!!

Sock Shrinking Spectacular....

So, I did it...I FINALLY shrunk my first sock! haha!! My mother could not be happier because she thinks its a step in the right direction (Yes, sadly, I am one of those single bachelors that have his mother do laundry. haha, I AM slowly switching this over though!).

Superbowl PARTY!!!!!!

Notice the signs!

My attempt at a handmade Colt......WHY does anybody question why I just didn't teach art when I taught school?

Danielle showing some of the pizza I got......six boxes ALTOGETHER!! The taco pizza rocked! =D

Lester and Brian....fun guys! Always welcome to the party!! =D

I even brought out my football blazer from high school....Colts, Colts!!

Shabbat Shalom!

Jesus is so good! I am so happy to have friends like these. These are some of the sweetest people. They have kept their congregation for around 10 years. Just thinking I have known them since I was 13 is awesome. Still, when Dave and Martha and I gather for family blessings, it feels great. It has always been evident that these people allow the Lord to cleanse their hearts...over time, they become better and better people! They are not prideful...just always desiring to learn and be better. Sweet, sweet people! It is a major part of my youth I miss. I need to record all this amazingness next time I go! =D

Ground Hog's Day Party!

Yeah, you heard right! What a great idea. I spend the day catching up with Melissa, Les, and Deb in Wahoo, and I spent the evening celebrating the holiday. ....one man even gave a speech about ground hogs. Did you know that this crazy event began in Pensacola, Fl. APPARENTLY, two guys were sitting around drinking and came up with this idea....to this day, schools close around the Pensacola area to bring in the celebration. hahah...yeah!

Here are pictures.....

the pic of me makes me look slow, but I was definitely driving at the same time....running late! =D

The second photo is of the man making the speech. ...and yes, we also watched Tom Hank's Ground Hog's Day......twice! haha!!
